The Ola Electric IPO will close for retail subscription on August 6, as revealed by the final IPO prospectus filing. The offer for institutional investors will open a day earlier on August 1.

Ola Electric had submitted its IPO documents to SEBI on 22 December 2023 itself. According to the news of Money Control, the company can raise Rs 74 crore from the IPO. In this, along with issuing new shares, the investors of the company will also offer the shares for sale.

As per SEBI rules, retail investors i.e. common man can invest a minimum of 15,000 and a maximum of 2 lakh rupees in the IPO of any company. In such a situation, you will need a minimum investment of 15,000 rupees for Ola’s IPO as well. In such a situation, you can invest money in Ola’s IPO and sell it after seeing the right profit when the company’s shares are listed in the market.

31 thousand crores raised through IPO

The IPO market has seen a boom in 2024. As of July 1, 2024, 34 companies had launched their main board IPOs in the primary market within the first six months. These 34 companies have raised more than Rs 31,000 crore through IPOs this year. Interestingly, 75 per cent of the companies that went public this year have given good profits to their shareholders. Notably, the shares of five of these companies have more than doubled or even tripled within just six months since their IPO. In 2023, 58 companies launched their IPOs throughout the year. This year, in the first six months alone, this number has reached 34, which is more than half of the total number of last year.
