The size of the IPO of Delhi-based Akms Drugs and Pharmaceuticals is Rs 1,857 crore, the subscription of which will open on July 30 and close on August 1. This IPO has fresh shares worth Rs 680 crore. At the same time, OFS of 1.73 crore shares is included. The price band of the IPO is Rs 646-679. Axis Capital, ICICI Securities, Citigroup Global Markets India and Ambit are the book running lead managers of the issue, while Link Intime India is the registrar of the offer.
7 SME IPOs
About 5 SME IPOs — Bulkcorp International, Sathlokhar Synergies, Kizie Apparels, Ashapura Logistics, Rajputana Industries — will open for subscription on July 30 and close on August 1.

34 IPOs in the first 6 months
The IPO market has seen a boom in 2024. As of July 1, 2024, 34 companies had launched their main board IPOs in the primary market within the first six months. These 34 companies have raised more than Rs 31,000 crore through IPOs this year. Interestingly, 75 percent of the companies that went public this year have given good profits to their shareholders.
Notably, the shares of five of these companies have more than doubled or even tripled within just six months since their IPO. 2023 saw 58 companies launch their IPOs throughout the year. This year, in just the first six months, the number has shot up to 34, which is more than half of last year’s total.
